I believe that as I write this, we are halfway through the Lodge year. What an exciting year thus far.
Our Lodge has experienced many exciting changes. Our House and Activities Committees continue to create many innovative ideas for fun and entertainment such as Bar Bingo, Steak Nights, Bands, Sock Hop and so many more. (Events Page)
Our Esteemed Leading Knight, Libby Dohm, has created a Kids Corner in the Heritage room, where our children and grandchildren can relax and be creative when the family visits the Lodge. Games, coloring books and much more. Libby also has directed a food drive, socks for veterans and many more activities that help promote the Elks within our local community. (Events Page) We are conducting a trial of Happy Hour with special menu items and reduced drink prices.
The Elk of the Month for November is Margaret “Peggy” Singleton. Peggy has been a member for 2 years and is our Chaplain. She is also affectionately known as “The Goodie Lady” as she bakes and creates tasty treats for Initiation Night, Special Events and when she feels we need a boost. Be sure to check our website (www.elks622.com) and our social media page (Annapolis BPOE Lodge #622 on Facebook) to stay on top of the latest events and information.
