Grand Lodge has instituted two meetings per month for February, March and April so the Lodge will hold meetings on the First and Third Wednesday of the month to meet these requirements.
As I write my final message as the ER, I cannot believe that one year has come and gone. There have been a great many new and exciting changes within the Lodge this year. The House and Activities committees have been responsible for such things as Bar Bingo, Western Night, the Sock Hop, Adult Easter Egg Hunts, new bands and so much more. Those of you who participated know the fun of events, but not the hard work and dedication that goes into planning and executing these activities. Charitable activities range from supporting Hope House and Arundel Lodge to the Anne Arundel County SPCA, veterans (through Wreaths Across America as well as Fischer House and the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home). Youth Activities in the Easter and Christmas parties as well as support for Camp Barrett and the Drug Awareness program are up as well as our wonderful Scholarship program. I offer my heartfelt thanks to all of the members and volunteers that have labored so hard and tirelessly behind the scenes to make all of this happen.
It gives me great pleasure to announce the Elk of the Month for February is Anthony Anzalone. Anthony has been a member for 17 years and as the chairperson for the Scholarship committee has worked hard to engage the local schools and encourage students to excel in all forms of society.
