Lodge News
Libby Dohm, ER
I would like to say Welkome to all our new members.

I write this on the heels of the NoWhere Men band… what a great turnout and a blast, this yearly event is. Special thanks to Bob Shutta for putting this together! We also have another large event coming up in September, as Mark Watt has organized an event with Johnny Seaton & Bad Behavior. Please keep an eye out for more information coming on this.

One thing all lodges have in common is how they strive to be better, and Annapolis Elks Lodge is no exception. We have a beautiful Lodge, surrounded by many wonderful Members and families. Our Lodge is successful because of the many volunteers, and they work hard to keep it that way by donating their time and efforts. If you are interested in being a bigger part of our success, I encourage you to attend our Lodge Meeting, held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month or reaching out to one of the Officers.

Steak nights are back... try to make reservations so we can plan for you. That way we can ensure those with reservations have a steak before we sell out. For all events, please help our volunteers and bartenders by cleaning up your dishes and trash. This is a huge help especially on busy nights.

We now have an Instagram account... if you are on Instagram, please follow @elkslodge622 . An Instagram link icon has been added to this page.

In April, we gave the Elk Officer of the Year award to Richard “Dick” Walker. Until this year, Dick has been a trustee for 38 years. It was an honor to present him with this award. What a commitment and service to the lodge. He will finally be relaxing some and is now the Inner Guard and will work closely with his replacement on the transition. Thank you for your dedication.

Members: Reminder for Bringing in Guests: A friendly reminder that all guests must be signed in the guest book every visit and leave when the member leaves. Only members can purchase from the bar since each year all lodges undergo an audit.  We love and encourage our members to bring in guests to visit the lodge! What a wonderful way for people to learn about the Elks and all the great things the Elks do for the communities. Hopefully, our guests will be inspired to join our lodge and be a part of all we have to offer. Also, per Maryland Law, only members can use the slot machines.

The Elk of the Month for June is Junie Easterday. Junie volunteers by heading up the Investigation Committee for new members and has held this position for years.

Please THANK him when  you see him around the lodge... We Love and Appreciate our Volunteers, Without them our lodge would not run!
